Ingredients
- 500 grams sugar
- 500 grams unsalted butter
- 500 grams flour
- 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 8 eggs
- Lemon zest
Lemon buttercream
- 400 grams icing sugar
- 400 grams unsalted butter
- Chopped lemon zest
Methods
- Add the sugar and butter. Beat till white in color
- Then add the eggs one at the time.
- Finally fold in the sieved flour, baking powder and the lemon zest.
- Bake for 12-16 minutes in 170c.
Lemon buttercream
- Beat butter and then add the icing sugar.
- Continue to beat till the mixture whitens.
- Finally add the lemon zest.
